Halloween

It was Halloween today. Probably one of my favorite holidays. There were a few trick or treaters, but still the candy was over purchased. Ah well. I like the pose of today's sketch and the spiffy up do. Night All.

Big Hats

Everyone loves cute people in big hats. In other news, I had a wonderful belated birthday party with the family. I also watched the democratic debates tonight. I'm to tired to comment on that right now, though. Night All.

Back Safely From Kentucky

I had a great time visiting the relatives down in Kentucky. Pretty tired right now so not much to say. The hills were pretty all decked out in fall colors set against blue skies. These are some of the sketches I did while watching UK play football with my Uncle Homer. Night All.

Weekend Family Trips

I'll be visiting my relatives this weekend. I leave Friday morning and come back some time on Sunday. So there will be no updates over that period. Today's up date are of a couple of twins I'm working on for a story I'm scripting up. I posted the one on the right previously but I wanted to lose the bulky gauntlets. Well that's it for now. Shoe Drawings Of Shoes

Today was one of those crisp cold autumn days. We haven't had a lot of them yet. The leaves are coming down and the colors are changing too. I drew lots of feet and shoes again today. Here are two of the warm ups I did. I think both came out well. Well, I'm going to try and get a bit more drawing done before I crash. Night All.

All Day With Meme

I spent all day with my meme (grandmother) today. I made breakfast and dinner. We watched lots of cooking shows and a little bit of new. Then we watched some of dancing with the stars before she got sleepy. She was in a really pleasant mood all day today which was wonderful. I got a lot of drawing done today. Feels Like Rain

It was one of those days today that felt like it was going to rain any minute. I worked on some other things to day so not much in the way of sketches got done. I did this quick sketch as kind of a quick warm up though. Night All.

Ow My Brain

Had a migraine all day, so not a lot of useful stuff got done. This is a sketch out of one of my old sketch books. The character has a bit of a different look now. I'll post some up dated designs of her later. Okay head killing me, Night All.

Feet and Legs

Feet and legs is all I drew today. I'm trying to get a couple panels just right so that's why. Other than that I'm just really tired today not sure why. It was hot out again today and really windy. Night All.

Day's Over And I Don't Know What Happened?

Every have one of those day's where you worked like crazy all day did everything you were suppose to do and yet can't see that you got anything accomplished? That was today for me. In any case here's a little sketch from today. There is a lot I don't' like about it but I'll fix it if I use it later. I think the thing that annoys me the most is that I drew the hips way to small for the rest of the body. I think. Doesn't look terrible at this size but I think I'll widen them to make her more balanced. In any case, Night All.

Weary But Accomplished

Feeling weary today but accomplished. Didn't sketch much today because I was doing other things. I did sketch this out I'm happy with the general shape of it. I'll probably ink it up soon. Well as soon as I find a good background reference and sketch that out. It's another character for one of the stories I'm working on putting together. That's pretty much it for today. Night All.

Oh My God The Words They're Eating Me

I spent most of the day scripting, since drawing was frustrating me for some reason. I think I'm just being to picky and neurotic. Tomorrow, I'll work on not over analysing every line and shape. I did do some warm up sketching and this is one of the fair ones. In other news, I watched the president present the Congressional Gold Medal to the Dalai Lama. It was a very nice ceremony and the Dalai Lama gave a wonderful speech. Night All.

Lazy Lazy Laziness

Well I'm going to call it laziness. I just couldn't produce much of anything today. Not really sure why just one of those days. I did do some sketching today here one example. She's ready to do an aerial drop. There are some things about this sketch I don't like but I think I can fix them easily so this might be the one good sketch of the day. In any case I'm off to sleep even though it's early, hopefully a good long sleep will get me inspired for tomorrow. Night All.

Family Fun

Yesterday's trip to the grandparents was fun there were lots of stories and we ate good food. Everyone got to see Molly the little baby she's almost 6months and is just adorable. Obviously I got back to late to post anything. Today's sketch is of Sam on a motorcycle. There's a lot wrong with it but this is just the preliminary sketch so that's okay. I really need to practice drawing machinery. Well I'm off to sleep I'm still tired from family time. Night All.

Working Through The Snags

Spent a lot of the day working through some snags in both art and scripting. I think I have most of them worked out now but you never know. Today's sketch is of a character in one of the stories I'm working on. I think it came out well. He's clothed it this sketch as apposed to the last one I did of this character. In other news, I am visiting my grandparents tomorrow. It going to be lots of fun. I always love visiting family, there are always new family stories being told. So because it's a all day adventure there may or may not be any update tomorrow. Night All.

Tired For No Reason

I feel how today's sketch looks. I'm not sure why though. I did manage to get a few things done today, sketch and run. So it's not a total right off. In any case, I'm exhausted so, Night All.

Coolness And Fall Weather

The weather outside was really nice today. It was crisp and in the 50's perfect weather for me. I was productive today, however I didn't get to sketch any thing new in my sketchbook. Consequently, I when to the sketchbook archive and pulled up this character design. I think it's a fun one, despite a few glaring flaws in anatomy. I did manage to organize my life more and I worked on a gift list for Christmas and b-day since she's always pestering me for one. This year I'll surprise her and actually have one. I also made some very yummy pasta today, so I feel accomplished. Little victories are the best. That's it for today, Night All.

Cool Weather And Atmospheric Tiredness

You ever have one of those days where you just can't seem to wake up? I had that kind of day today. Maybe it's due to a change in the weather or maybe it's due to not getting enough sleep but it sure is tiring if that makes sense. I'm not sure it does. In any case today's little sketch was done while watching TV trying to get motivated to do real work. I am incapable of forming some commits on the sketch right now so therefore, Night All.

Running All The Live Long Day

Very very busy most of the day. I got quite a few things accomplished today. I was frustrated with the perspective on a certain panel I'm working on. I can't seem to find the right reference pictures for it. Tricky angles are so much easier with a reference, at least for me they are. I did this sketch late in the day as a wind down I like it a lot, even so I can see a couple of issues that I'll need to correct when I finish it out. On other notes I watched the Republican debate this afternoon on TV. It was over the economy/business side of things. It was actually quite entertaining. I had a couple good belly laughs during it. Oh, they where in Dearborn which was cool. Okay, before I start to ramble too much. Night All.

Accomplishment, Leftovers, And Test Colors

I got a bit more accomplished today than I did yesterday. I think my scripting is all worked out now in a way that makes sense. I really enjoyed my left over pasta today. However, linguine doesn't reheat as well as penne pasta. I was was still delicious though. I went ahead a test colored some pages and character designs quickly today. The quick test color of the lady from yesterday is represented here. I'm not sure about the colors though they may change. Night All.

Noodly Noodlie Noodle

Still in a bit of a artistic blockage today. I did sketch out this today, so many things wrong with this sketch but most I think can be fixed when I go over it with ink. I did get a lot of script fixing done today and I made a great new pasta dish so I'm counting those a positive accomplishments today. The pasta dish was a creamy tomato sauce with onion, garlic and bacon. I made the sauce with mascarpone cheese which made it kind of sweet. Oh and the noodles were a spinach fettuccine. In any case I'm going to crash now. Night All.

Backgrounds and Burnout

Ugh! for some reason my brain wont function today. I'm turning in early maybe a good nights sleep will help me catch up on all the work I need to get done tomorrow. I needed a subway scenes for one page I'm drawing up. This is the only one of the group that I think was fairly okay. It was a long unproductive day, oh well happens sometimes. Night All.

Sketching With Ink Pens

I got a significant amount of stuff done today, so I was pleased with that. I got to sketch with some of my ink pens today. I was trying to come up with a new character costume design of which these are two examples. When I see them together right now all I can think of is Dr. Seuss's Thing One and Two. For some reason this pleases me immensely. Night All.

Yummy Pasta and Ten Minute Sketches

Not much to say today. It was really busy today. The highlight was that I made really yummy pasta. I did this really quick sketch while watching the Daily Show. I like it I'm not really sure how this rough with form out in to a finished product. Night All.

Traveling Around All Day = No Sketching

I spent all day running around and doing the necessities of life, consequently I didn't get to sketch today. So I dove into my last few sketchbooks and found this little character rough. Not a lot to say about her tonight. I am tired and my brain isn't functioning right. I do however, like the ears and inverse eyes as design points on this sketch. I had an interesting run this morning it was misting ran but it was still warm out which is kinda weird around here. Well night all.

Productivity And Scripts Make Eyes Wobble

I spent all day working on a script for a project pitch. I think it looks alright but my mind is all boggley with the evil words. In any case, I'll review it in the morning. Today's sketch is again from my sketch book archives there will be some minor redesigning of the character for an up coming storyline. The name I settled on for this character is Kaori. Her codename/call sign is Kitsune. She's part of the covert ops team as squad leader. Not counting her excellent leadership and experience the reason why she's on the covert squad is something of a mystery. On the surface, it would seem here abilities are better suited for the strike team. Her true value to the unit however is that she's the only mystically connected member. This fact makes her operationally invaluable. I'll be posting the updates of her design later on this month hopefully. Well I'm going to try and get a good nights rest tonight. Night All.

Rainy Days And Finding New Coloring Styles

It was a rainy windy day today. I spent most of it experimenting with coloring line art in Photoshop. I came up with a few things I liked. I'll have an example up as soon as Photoshop stops thinking really hard. Well more later Night All.
