Working On The Angle

It snowed heavily again today. Luckily it was a light fluffy snow instead of a heavy wet one. I did some quick five minute sketches today on the wacom tablet. This quick sketch of Morriganna is an example of that effort. I'm working on that birds eye view. It came out okay, I think. You get the general idea but it could be more dynamic. I think I work on that. Night All.

Options

Three different versions of today's sketch. The first is a quick speed paint over the pencil work. The next 2 I put though Illustrator and made a sort of graphic print one in color an the other in gray scale. The character looks a bit stressed, I wonder why. Night All.

Getting It Back Together

Yea I miss yesterday's update. I am however feeling better today. I did a quick color test of a bunch of things I've previously sketched up. I'm trying to find a look I like. Today's sketch is an example of those efforts and uses a sketch I posted earlier this month. I think I looks alright I think I'm going to try coloring it a couple different ways though. Night All.

Okay I Think I'm Almost Over It

Okay I'm almost over feeling sick well hopefully. I was sketching some different warrior types from references when this popped out at me. This is just a really rough sketch from the reference so if I do more with it I'll post it. Night All.

Just Lion A Round

Booo! Yea yea I know. I really did just lay around most of the day. I think I'm almost feeling better. Any way this sketch is an example of what happens when you watch animal planet for a couple hours because the remote is too far away. I think it's fairly good for a quick sketch. Night All.

Yea I'm Not Feeling Well Today.

So I'm not feeling to well today, consequently I didn't do a whole lot other than drink orange juice. I did sketch this off a reference from a documentary. I did it in a silhouette because what I really like is the shape of it more than anything else. Hopefully, I'll feel better tomorrow and up to scanning in some of the stuff I've been working on. Soo Drained today! Didn't get much accomplished today. Just one of those days. Ran a thumb sketch of a kung fu lady I did though Illustrator. I think it came out okay. Night All.

Another Quick Sketch

Another day of quick sketching. Today Morriganna again. This time in a kneeling pose. I think it came out well and rather graphic. Okay Tired. Woo spell check is back. Night All.

Lunar Eclipes

Today was a great lunar eclipes. I guess it looked cooler the closer you were to the equator but the moon still go all dark smokey and moody orange here so that was really cool. I did a quick 15 minute color sketch of one of my characters, Morriganna. She all under cover in the pose. I think it came out well for a quick thumb. Night All.

A Quick Day And A Quick Pasta

Day flew by for some reason. I did a couple of quick digial marker sketches and ran them though illustrator. This warrior is an example of that experiment. I also made a quick pasta today, came out pretty well. I watch the election returns from Wisconsin today. Obama won. He gave a really long speach after word. I was a good speach just longer than ussual. Mccain of course won for the republicans. Looking around I think I'll spend a good deal of time cleaning tomorrow so I can function better. I seem to have created piles of projects again. Night All.

Less Time Than Cooking Mushrooms

Not much time today to do much artwise. My day was consumed with household tasks. I did put togeather a nice dinner though. New York strip with blackberry sauce and potabello mushrooms in a balsamic vinigar reduction. The side was honey roasted butternut squash. So at least I ate well today. Todays sketch is was a quick one of a character I'm working on. Night All.

So Little Time

I had very little time today so nothing I sketched got scaned in today. I did do a quick five minute digital sketch of an archer. The sketch looked okay, but I played around with it for a bit and came up with this after running it though Illustrator. I think it looks fairly neat. I think i'll close it up and try to color it tomorrow if I have time. I looks good black and white too though. Night All.

Inspirational Day

I was reading some stories, fables and myths today. I also read some good jokes and I got inspired to write up a short based on one of the jokes. I'll post it when I finish it up. I also sketched this today. Night All.

Alot Of Reading Not Much Drawing

I ended up reading most of the day today. I've almost finished Aristotle and an Aardvark go to Washington. It's such a good book I highly recomend it. Also it's short enough for just about anyone to read in a couple sittings. So I didn't do much sketching. I did play with colors in photoshop and illustrator though. Here's an example of a color test using the sketch from yesterday. An the spelling check is still not working. Meh! Night All.

Working On Getting Everything Back On Track

Working on getting things back on track today. Did a this little sketch today as a break. There are some things that are a little off but they can be fixed in clean up. I think I might experiment with this a bit tomorrow if I have time. Night All.

Quick Paint Tests

I was out most of the day today. So I'll I did was some quick paint test of the sketches from yesterday. This is an example of that. I did find a good book at the bookstore 'Aristotle and an Aardvark go to Washington' it's by the same people who wrote 'Plato and a Platypus walk in to a bar...'. I highly recomend the second one. I have a feeling I'll be recomending the first as well. Night All.

Very Busy Not Much Time

I've been very busy lately. First I was out of town then I got swamped with stuff. Consequently I neglected my posting which is never good. Today's sketch is of the same character as the previous few posts I'm really getting the feel for this character now. I have almost completed the full character sheet. I really like the small skribble at the bottom. I like the line the body takes. There are some issue with these sketches, points where they go off model. I'll fix them as I work them up. More tomorrow. Spell checking still not fixed. Sigh. Night All.

Impromptue Trip To The Grandparents

Taking a trip to the grandparents today I'll be back wednesday or so. I probably won't be uploading anything while I'm down there, so fresh stuff when I return. Today's sketch is the same character as before I'm working up the flats on the character this is a really quick shade up. Later All.

So It Was Superbowl Sunday... I Knew That Really

For some reason I missed either that it was Sunday or that it was Superbowl Sunday. I was reminded and did watch the game which was exciting. I also thought some of the commercials were really good but most fell kind of flat. Speaking of flat. I layed out this flat of the sketch from yesterday more of work ups of this sketch tomorrow. Computer Fixes Self?

So the computer I was having internet issues with randomly fixed it's self ... I'm happy really, I just hate it when stuff is random like that. That and I wasted hours and hours trying to fix it to no avail. Ah well technology is wonderful that way. Speaking of technology, today's sketch is of a character design I'm still tweaking. I think the armor is well getting there. I will be interesting to see how it looks inked. Bloggers spell checking still isn't working hopeful that will be resolved soon. Night All.

Computer Troubles

Having terrible trouble with my vista computers connection to the internet. It just mysteriously stopped working over night when the computer was off. Spent all day trying to get it back up so I could do website stuff to no avail. Call comcast and after 2hours they couldn't fix it as it is apparently not a modem issue. I doesn't seem to the router either as my xp computer works fine and direct connecting the vista computer to the modem doesn't improve the situation any at all. Today's sketch is a continuation of the batsquatch concept design. I'll probably change a few thing in this sketch before it's completed. Well hope fully my computer will magically fix it's self over night and the spell check is still not fix in blogger, so hopefully that will be back soon too. Night All.
