Missed Posts And Digital3D

I'm not sure how exactly I missed posting twice in a row but I did. In any case, I saw Beowulf yesterday with my dad. The movie was pretty good and it was in 3D which was very cool. I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, but I think I'm getting better now. I got some sketching done today. This sketch is a snippet from a panel in a story I'm working on. I like the pose of the character overall, but the face needs a little tweaking. I also did some web page design today. It turned in to more of an art project than a productive design though. Hopefully, I will have better luck tomorrow. Night All.

The Return Of Pie

Thanksgiving was wonderful. I really enjoyed seeing my aunt, uncle and cousin. There was lots of pie. Though the family does seem to be holding back as compared to previous years. I cooked the apple pie again this year it was much better than last years. I don't think I'll ever get to be as good as meme at baking apple pie but maybe I'll get close someday. I didn't get too much done over the holiday in the drawing arena. I did do quite a bit of scripting. Hopefully, I'll be able to turn that around into pages in a timely manner. Today's sketch was one of the quick morning sketches that I did over break before I headed out to get the paper and cook breakfast. Not sure were this is going to end up, but I like the general feel of the character. Well, in any case I'm home now. Night All.

Pre-travel Day

It was a very busy day today. So not much in the way of art period today. I'm pretty much packed for the trip up north I think. There may not be any updates while I'm up north. This is a weekish long event. If I do manage a post there probably won't be any art. Photos maybe but not sketches. I did ink and flat out this sketch from earlier this week. I'm still working on the exact colors. A work in progress. In any case, I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving if you celebrate it or just a really relaxing peaceful day if not. Night All.

Tackling The Evil Words Again

I spent a lot of time today reworking my dialogue in various scripts. I felt I got a lot accomplished, despite drawing little today. I did this little sketch in between typing my scripts in to the computer. Yes I usually end up writing them out long hand and then type them to the computer. I know this is not very efficient but it's more comfortable that way. Maybe when/if I get a tablet PC I'll just write them directly in to the computer. I like the post in today's sketch but I think it's a bit of and a maybe a tad overly distorted but I'm also sleepy right now so, maybe not. Night All.

Quick Sketches With Big Heads

Kind of a lazy dreary day today. My hands are working somewhat better today. After watching the democratic debate today on CNN, I am reminded how much the news media treats a political debate like a football game. It's kind of really, really annoying and ridiculous. Today's sketch was a quick test redesign of some characters I've been wanting to work in to a story I'm working on. I think they look okay and probably pretty good with a couple little tweaks. My heads were getting big on me again today for some unknown reason. There the right size for kids but not adults the ratio is off a bit. I need to work on noticing that before I finish a sketch. Well maybe it's not too bad. In any case, Night All.

Hands Feel Better Yet Still Clumsy

Well my hands feel better but I am still fumbling with them. I had several clumsy instances today resulting in large messes I had to clean up. Hopefully my hands will function better tomorrow. I did sketch this out though. It still needs some tweaking so well call it a work in progress. Night All.
